Description
Beautiful historical brooch from the Belle Époque with diamonds and oriental pearls, crafted from 18-carat yellow gold with a platinum coating (certified and guaranteed).
The magnificent brooch is composed of delicate floral tendrils and is complemented at the bottom by a flexibly attached garland. The front of the piece of jewelry is adorned with a total of 83 small rose-cut diamonds, with three larger old European-cut diamonds emphasizing the central axis. Five partly movable orient pearls (natural pearls) with a fine white luster are incorporated into the design, adding delicate shimmering accents.
The diamonds have a total stone weight of ca. 0.6 carats, including three old European cut diamonds totaling ca. 0.37 carats (I-J, SI).
The back of the piece of jewelry has a pin with a C-hook made of 750 yellow gold.
The magnificent antique brooch was made around 1910 and comes from an Austrian family. It is a particularly beautiful example of the jewelry art of the Belle Époque. In this period, delicate designs were preferred, which were made primarily of white metals (preferably platinum) on the front and set with diamonds. The garland motif, which was particularly popular at the time and is beautifully showcased in this brooch, led to the jewelry designs of the Belle Époque also becoming known as the “Garland Style”.
