Large vintage Egyptian earrings made of gold-plated sterling silver 925 (stamped and guaranteed).

The long earrings each consist of two plaques engraved with Egyptian hieroglyphics. Two turquoise glazed ceramic scarabs fit appropriately into the design, adding a charming splash of color.

Hook closures on the back with safety clasps allow the earrings to sit comfortably and securely on the ear.

The eye-catching statement earrings were created around 1965, two years after Elizabeth Taylor shone as Cleopatra in the film of the same name and also shaped the fashion of the Sixties with her role.

The earrings come from Egypt and are a real eye-catcher! Matching is the large necklace with the item number 202311819.
