Rare design bracelet by Antonio Pineda, crafted from 925 sterling silver (stamped and guaranteed as well as marked with Pineda's crown signet).
The heavy, extravagant bracelet consists of nine boldly designed links with semi-circular openings, which are attached to each other with hinges. The expressive design of the shiny polished links is typical of Mexican silver jewelry from the 1960s and its preference for clear shapes. A large pusher is attached to the well-functioning buckle with safety chain, which not only makes it easy to put on and take off the bracelet, but also sets a special accent with its size.
This extraordinary bracelet was created around 1960 and was made by Antonio Pineda, one of Mexico's most accomplished silversmiths.
Antonio Pineda (born 1919) was one of the most important internationally renowned Mexican jewelry designers and silversmiths of the 20th century. His unique style is characterized by modernist, generous lines and architectural Elements.
