The historical cameos bear the depictions of ladies dressed in the ancient style. They all have elaborate hairstyles and wear floral decorations in their hair. Their robes are elegantly gathered around their shoulders
The lava cameos are of different colours and captivate with their soft earth tones from olive to ochre.
The jewel is closed with a simple and secure clasp
This exquisite piece of historical jewellery was created around 1860 and bears witness to the lively enthusiasm for antiquities in the 19th century. The excavation sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum were extremely popular and meaningful stops on 19th century educational trips, from where jewelry like this was brought back as souvenirs.
