Description
Wonderful art nouveau pendant with chain, both made of yellow gold 333 / 8 Kt (stamped and guaranteed).
The beautiful pendant is set with an oval as well as a square synthetic Verneuil ruby. The strict floral openwork structure of the pendant is also adorned with two round no seed beads that harmoniously complete the overall design. An irregularly shaped natural pearl forms a moving finish on the pendant.
The historical pendant has a contemporary anchor chain with a cylindrical pin clasp.
Based on scientific advances in mineral analysis in the 19th century, the chemist Auguste Verneuil was able to develop a process around 1890 that enabled him to produce jewelry-quality rubies and sapphires in the laboratory.
