Description
Wonderful vintage cufflinks in sterling silver 925 with elegant guilloché enamel. The cufflinks in cross-oval shape are decorated with an elk motif in Norwegian landscape. Both looks like a miniature silhouette, this is how precisely the enamel was applied. The blue-pink translucent enamel is designed over a guilloched halo of rays, which looks like a sunrise or sunset. At the back the buttons are connected by a fixed bridge, which was replaced later. That's why there are no more Makers Marks left. But the design can be clearly attributed to David Andersen.
These beautiful cufflinks were made around 1955 in Norway. The humorous motif gives the stylish men's wardrobe a subtle ironic touch.
