Danish design amber necklace by Niels Erik From, made of silver 925 (stamped, signed and guaranteed).
This charming Sixties piece of jewellery consists of round, stylised floral links, each set with a round brown amber cabochon.
The chain can be easily opened and closed with the help of a round box lock.
Born in Denmark in 1908 and trained as a goldsmith, Niels Erik From opened his first shop around 1931. Through his characteristic jewellery art in floral or modernistic style, he became one of the most sought-after Scandinavian goldsmiths in the 60s and 70s.
The necklace was created around 1965 and is a contemporary example of the jewellery art of the sixties!
