Description
Charming shell cameo pendant in red gold 585 / 14 ct. (stamped and guaranteed). The high oval cameo shows an antique portrait of a lady in half profile. The lady has full hair and wears an elaborate plug hairstyle, which is decorated with ribbons. She has a simple pearl necklace around her neck. The cameo is set in a beautifully curved and chased frame of red gold, floral pierced and richly chiselled. In the lower part of the pendant is a simple suspension in the form of a decorative ball. On the back is the hidden eyelet in the upper part and a needle with a safety lever in the middle, so that the cameo pendant can also be worn as a brooch.
This lovely piece comes from England and was created around 1900. Besides romantic daytime outfits you can refine with it the elegant evening dress;
