Description
Wonderful vintage necklace, in Y-form, worked in imaginative design of silver 835 (stamped and guaranteed as well as signed gk). The neck necklace consists alternately of ring links and small metal clasps, which are movably hung in each other. In the front area, five large amethyst cabochons in intense purple, extravagantly set on plates of blackened silver, combine to form a stylish central motif. Three of them form a suspension on the vertical axis, while two are placed laterally to these and give the necklace its typical Y-shaped structure. The beautiful necklace is closed with a securely working hook clasp.
The decorative necklace is committed to the design language of the sixties and originated in the house of the company Georg Kramer, which was founded in Ribnitz at the end of the 18th century and continued in Travemünde in the middle of the 20th century in the 5th generation. Kramer is regarded as the founder of the so-called Fischlandschmuckes (fish country jewellery), which is characterised in particular by the use of amber and the use of maritime motifs and forms. But also clearly designed designs with coloured stone trimming, such as the Amethyst necklace on display, characterised the assortment of the traditional house.
The appealing design of the 1960s has absolute validity even today and can be wonderfully combined to many different styles and occasions.
