Great antique brooch in rose gold 333 / 8 Kt (tested and guaranteed), set with a finely crafted micro mosaic representing the ruins of the Roman Colosseum. The oval mosaic is embedded in deep black glass, which in turn sits in a secure frame frame with a beautiful spiral frame. At the back the brooch has a simple needling with C-hook.
This enchanting historical jewel was created in Italy around 1860 and is a typical testimony of its time, when micro mosaics were considered popular travel souvenirs that educational travellers brought home as gifts or small souvenirs as part of the so-called Grand Tour.
