Wonderful antique micromosaic brooch from the late 19th century. The finely crafted micro mosaic shows a delightful King Charles Spaniel and is set in deep black glass, which sits in a plain, gilded frame with four dome-shaped accents. At the back the brooch has a simple needling with C-hook.
This high-quality historical piece of jewellery was created around 1860. The fine micro mosaics were popular pieces of jewellery and travel souvenirs in the 19th century, which were cultivated as gifts or small souvenirs.
