Description

Aparte high oval brooch with real cut mussel cameo / cameo, which shows the depiction of a luxuriant young lady in profile to the right. She is portrayed in an antique style with a robe gathered on her shoulder and fine pearls both as hair and ear jewellery. The gem is exquisitely cut, every single hairstyle is finely carved out of the shell. It is surrounded by an octagonal, filigree openwork frame of flat and corded wire in yellow gold 585 / 14 Kt (stamped and guaranteed). Small bird motifs set a charming accent at every corner. On the back the brooch has a well working needling with safety slide and a small eyelet, with which the piece of jewellery can also be worn on a fine chain.
The large antique brooch was created around 1910 in Munich and is a classic and stylish accessory to traditional styles.
