Beautiful historical ring in yellow gold 585 / 14 Kt (stamped and guaranteed).
The rhomboid-shaped, richly decorated ring head is set with a large synthetic Verneuil Ruby. The square faceted pink coloured stone of approx. 4.5 carats has rounded corners and blends in beautifully with the lively floral decoration on the ring head and the ring rail.
Based on the scientific and scientific advances in mineral analysis in the 19th century, the chemist Augusteundnbsp;Verneuil was able to develop a method in 1881/82 that enabled him to produce synthetic and gemstones in the laboratory in jewellery quality. At the beginning of the 20th century, people were so enthusiastic about this chemical achievement that these syntheses were also used in very high-quality jewellery.
This sophisticated antique ring comes from Munich and was created around 1915 and is an excellent eye-catcher for a colourful summer dress and individual styles.
