Pretty vintage brooch in the shape of a bouquet of violets in yellow gold 585 / 14 Kt (stamped and guaranteed), set with three cut amethyst flowers and green jade foliage. A sparkling octagonal-cut diamond sits in the middle of each amethyst flower. On the back side the brooch has a very well working needling with safety slide.
The charming brooch, typical of its time, was created around 1950 and is a wonderful example of the preference for figurative brooches with gemstone trimming in the middle of the 20th century.
