Description
Wonderful large coral brooch in flower shape. On a rear wire construction of Gelbgoild 333 / 8 Kt (tested and guaranteed), delicately polished salmon coral boutons are arranged to form a plastic flower of oval basic shape. On the back the historical brooch has a securely functioning needle with C-hook, as well as a fine hook on which the brooch can also be hung as a pendant in a chain. The brooch was created in Naples around 1860 and is a wonderful testimony to the jewellery of the Biedermeier period, in which the ladies were particularly fond of adding brooches to their day dresses and enjoyed great popularity especially for coral accessories.
Dimensions of the brooch in the oval: approx. 3.6 x 4.4 cm.
Dimensions of the middle coral bouton: approx. 19.9 x 13.9 mm.
Diameter of coral boutons: 6.1 to 9.6 mm.
Weight: 13.4 grams.
Condition: Very nice condition, all corals preserved, large coral backside growth characteristics, freshly cleaned, ready to wear. See photos.
You will receive the brooch in one of our high-quality cases and with a certificate of authenticity.
