Description
Beautiful antique pendant made of yellow gold 585 / 14 Kt (tested and guaranteed) and finest Mediterranean corals in considerable size. The pendant is adorned with a dreamlike cameo in the middle, which shows the exquisitely cut representation of a lady in antique style in a three-quarter profile to the left. In her curly hair sits a wreath of ears of corn, which could characterise her as Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture and fertility. The cameo is framed by a series of small coral pearls, followed by a wreath of large coral boutons. All processed Mediterranean corals are of excellent quality, their surface is wonderfully even and the rich colour tone is beautifully even. The jewel has a solid eyelet on the back so that it can be worn on a chain of your choice.
The historical pendant was made around 1880 in Naples and is a high-quality and stylish collector's item. A must for every antique jewellery lover!
