Pretty historical pendant with narrow pea necklace in yellow gold 585 / 14 Kt (stamped and guaranteed), set with a sky-blue synthetic Verneuil scissor cut spinel. The synthetic gemstone sits on a floral eyelet and convinces with its clear, brilliant blue colour. The chain is closed at the back with a well functioning spring ring.
This historical piece of jewellery, typical of its time, was created around 1930 in Nuremberg, when August Verneuil succeeded in producing synthetic gemstones in his Paris laboratory using the so-called melt-drop process. The so-called syth. Verneuil Spinelle then came into fashion and are still today charming companions with historical charm.
