Description
Noble historical gold doublé brooch from the Biedermeier period (tested and guaranteed). The brooch is accentuated in the middle by an oval polished onyx with a small flower motif with a centred seed pearl on its panel. The gemstone sits surrounded on the multi-layered Doublé substructure. Its surface is decorated with the finest pearl ornament and fan-like decorations. A freely movable spherical suspension forms a charming conclusion. At the back there is a simple, but very well functioning needling with hooks.
This brooch, typical of its time, was created around 1850 in Pforzheim and is particularly attractive due to its artistic and opulent surface design.
Dimensions of the brooch (incl. suspension): 5.0 x 3.3 cm.
Dimensions of the onyx: 19.8 x 15.3 cm.
Seed bead diameter: 1.3 mm.
