Wonderful Biedermeier coral brooch in flower shape with a substructure of gold-plated silver (tested and guaranteed). In the middle the brooch is decorated with an impressive coral bouton, around which two rings of lateral threaded coral pearls lie. The corals have a beautiful intense salmon red colour and a wonderfully even surface. On the back the historical brooch has a well functioning needling with C-hook.
The brooch was created in Vienna around 1850 and is a pretty testimony to the jewellery of the Biedermeier period, in which the ladies were particularly fond of adding brooches to their daydresses and enjoyed great popularity especially for coral accessories.
