Description
Wonderful Viennese Art Nouveau belt buckle by Anton Busch, crafted from 835 silver and set with amethysts (stamped, signed and guaranteed).
The elegant oval clasp is decorated with naturalistic pieces of various aquatic and floating plants: reeds, irises and water lilies. The flowers and reed heads are set with polished, opaque pieces of amethyst. Two bows are attached to the back through which a pretty ribbon can be threaded to fasten the clasp around the waist.
This beautiful Art Nouveau clasp is a fine example of the intense interest in nature and the beauty of its forms.
It was created around 1900 in Vienna in the workshop of Anton Busch and is still in its original case today!

Condition: Very good historical condition, case no longer closes, freshly cleaned, see photos.
