Description
Historic English round armour bracelet with heart-shaped clasp, made of red gold 8ct (stamped and guaranteed).
The bracelet in a warm red gold alloy is worked in the typical round armour pattern and has the heart-shaped padlock clasp with a safety chain that is characteristic of England.
The fashion for these bracelets, which were also popular as charm bracelets, originated in England in the mid-19th century, when Queen Victoria began wearing a gold chain with medallions containing portraits of her family. Many women imitated the queen by hanging personal mementos on their bracelets.
The pretty bracelet can be personalised in the tradition of charm bracelets or worn without a pendant as a classically simple round armoured bracelet.
The piece of jewellery was created in England around 1905.
Dimensions of the bracelet: ca. 19.0 x 1.0 cm.
Weight: 25.9 grams.
Condition: Very good historical condition, freshly cleaned, see photos.
You will receive the bracelet lovingly packed in one of our pretty boxes and with a certificate of authenticity.
